Expanding horizons: discover the new Iberostar Selection Zanzibar
Discover Iberostar’s first resort in the Indian Ocean, set on one of Zanzibar’s most iconic beaches.

With the opening of Iberostar Selection Zanzibarplanned for November 2026, the brand adds an Indian Ocean resort to its portfolio for the first time. Located on Muyuni Beach, on the island’s northeast coast, this five-star All-Inclusive hotel brings a destination of remarkable natural beauty and cultural depth to the Iberostar offering.

Just 37 miles from Zanzibar International Airport and 33 miles from Stone Town, its location offers a peaceful setting while maintaining easy access to some of the island’s most distinctive landmarks.

Overlooking turquoise waters and with direct views of Mnemba Island, the hotel blends seamlessly into a landscape where nature, history, and local traditions coexist effortlessly. Zanzibar brings together white-sand beaches, Swahili heritage, Arab influences, and a rich marine environment, creating an island that invites exploration beyond the shoreline.

The hotel stands out for its family spaces, including the Aquafun pool with a water park. It also features Star Camp, a creative activity program where children connect with local culture by learning Swahili, discovering the corals of Mnemba, or exploring Maasai art.

Zanzibar: a destination shaped by history, culture, and nature

The island has a unique identity. Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a mosaic of Swahili, Arab, and Portuguese influences reflected in its historic architecture.

The experience is enriched by traditional spice routes and the biodiversity of Jozani Forest, where the island’s trading history and the natural richness of the Indian Ocean come together.
