In Montego Bay, the Caribbean stretches to the horizon, while Jamaica's distinctive rhythm shines through in its music, surroundings, and easygoing approach to life. This is the inspiration behind the new chapter of JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar.
The resort is undergoing a complete renovation that will transform its suites, restaurants, and shared spaces. When it reopens on December 1, 2026, it will reveal a new identity with a stronger connection to Jamaica, guided by a concept that captures the spirit of this next chapter: Where luxury finds its rhythm.
The new JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar has been envisioned as a contemporary tropical residence. Its design combines the relaxed elegance of the golden age of travel in the 1950s with materials, patterns, colors, and details inspired by Jamaica. This influence carries through the suites, social areas, pools, and outdoor spaces, creating warm, inviting settings that embrace the Caribbean surroundings.
The 295 renovated suites will offer guests different ways to enjoy their surroundings. Accommodations will include options with private gardens, ocean views, whirlpool tubs, or direct pool access, along with several categories featuring butler service.
Highlights include the Pool View Private Garden Suite and the Oceanfront Swim-out Butler Service Suite, where guests can step directly from their terrace into the water, with the Caribbean Sea stretching out beyond.
Did you know? Butler service, available in select suite categories, takes care of details such as room preferences, luggage assistance, and restaurant or spa reservations.
Dining will be one of the biggest changes in this new chapter, with 9 dining venues, including 5 specialty restaurants and 4 bars. Oriole will bring Jamaican cuisine to the waterfront, while Chez Charlie will offer a taste of France, Amari will draw on Italian traditions, and Zázá will explore the flavors of Southeast Asia. The experience will also include venues such as The Palm, the lobby bar, and Star Café.
Did you know? The new dining concept will offer guests additional ways to make food part of their vacation experience, including the option of enjoying dinner in an exclusive private setting.
Four pools, direct beach access, and renovated waterfront spaces will set the scene for days that unfold at an easy, unhurried pace. The Pool & Beach Concierge will take care of the little details, from bringing guests a refreshing drink to making sure they have everything they need to linger a little longer by the sea.
The resort also sits across from the Grange Pen Marine Sanctuary, connecting its beachfront setting with efforts to protect and restore Jamaica's coastal ecosystems. This is an especially appealing feature for clients interested in diving, marine conservation, and sustainable travel.
The focus on well-being continues at the spa, with locally inspired rituals, treatments, hydrotherapy, and fitness activities. Guests who prefer to stay active will also find a running trail, tennis, and pickleball.
Did you know? Guests staying at JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar will also have access to Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach, the two other Iberostar properties within the Rose Hall complex. This gives them an even wider choice of dining, entertainment, and leisure options throughout their stay.
Just 10 miles from Sangster International Airport, JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar offers easy access to some of Montego Bay's best-known attractions. Doctor's Cave Beach, Rose Hall Great House, and the Hip Strip reveal different sides of the destination, from its beaches and history to evenings filled with reggae music.
Cinnamon Hill Golf Course and White Hill Golf Course are also just a few minutes from the resort, both offering views of the Caribbean Sea. JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar guests benefit from special rates at both courses, including round-trip transportation between the hotel and the golf course.
Did you know? Montego Bay is known as Jamaica's tourism capital, and its local markets offer another way for guests to experience everyday island life.
When JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar reopens, Jamaica’s charm will be more present than ever throughout the resort, from its design and culinary experiences to the relaxed pace of days spent overlooking the Caribbean. A new chapter that invites guests to discover Montego Bay from a hotel that draws its inspiration from the island just beyond its doors.
Where luxury finds its rhythm.
